From March to October, you can visit the Abbey each first and third Sunday of the month (please check our Calendar for closing Sundays) at 10 am, 11 am and noon. Visits are staffed by licensed guides.
Private guided tours can be booked in advance on any available day of the year with a minimum of 30 people. Visits can be conducted in English, French, German and Spanish. You may extend your stay at the Abbey and enjoy a cocktail or buffet lunch. From July to the end of September, every Sunday at 9.00 am, the Holy Mass will be held
inside the Church of the Abbey. Thematic guided tours can be booked on demand, such as: “From Sylvaria to the Italian Garden”: a historical-botanic path;
“The monastic presence on the Monte di Portofino”: the historical monasteries and the events of the settlement, the characteristics of the Benedictine Order, and its artistic and architectural expressions.
“The tapestries and the fittings”: path on the Noble Floor, from which it is possible to admire the Monumental Garden, even if the access is not possible due to bad weather.
